10-4 // The Fillmore
On 10-4, Rise Against, along with Alkaline Trio and Teen Mortgage, packed The Fillmore in Philadelphia.
Opening the night was Teen Mortgage. The duo immediately ripped into a frenzy of songs, bringing a ton of energy to the stage and firing up the crowd for the rest of the night. They were a great way to kick off the show and got the room moving right from the start.
Next was Alkaline Trio, who really got the crowd going. There were circle pits breaking out for almost their entire time on stage, while the crowd sang along to song after song and cheered throughout the set. They played songs like Calling All Skeletons, Take Lots of Alcohol, Oblivion and Mercy Me before ending their set with Radio. It was clear that there were plenty of longtime fans in the room, and the energy never really let up.
Rise Against closed out the night, and the crowd went wild as they took the stage. As soon as Give It All started, the room erupted with swarms of crowd surfers making their way toward the stage. Tim McIlrath Time interacting with the crowd, even jumping down to them a few times and getting right in the middle of the chaos.
The band played a mix of older favorites and newer songs, including Help Is on the Way, The Good Left Undone, Heaven Knows and their newest single Katy Bar the Door. They kept the energy high throughout the entire set before coming back out for an encore of Survive and Savior, sending the crowd home with two of their biggest songs.
All three bands sounded better than ever, and it's awesome to see bands like these continue to put on such energetic shows and somehow keep getting better as the years go by. If this tour is coming anywhere near you, definitely check it out.
