Union Transfer // 3-24
On March 24th, Gogol Bordello, along with Puzzled Panther and Boris and The Joy, rocked Union Transfer for a night packed with raw energy and unforgettable performances.
Opening the night, Boris and The Joy, fronted by former Gogol Bordello guitarist Boris Pelekh, delivered a tight, energetic set that set the tone early. Their sound carried a mix of grit and melody, and they had no trouble warming up the crowd, drawing people in with a confident stage presence and sharp musicianship.
Next up, Puzzled Panther brought a burst of relentless energy from New York City. Blazing through a fast paced 30 minute set, they barely let the crowd catch its breath. Their performance felt urgent and fresh, and with their debut full length album expected later this year, definitely a band to keep on your radar.
Closing out the night, Gogol Bordello took the stage in support of their new album, We Mean It, Man, and immediately ignited the room. Opening with Ignition, the band launched into a high-octane set that never lost momentum. The packed crowd fed off the band’s explosive energy, dancing, shouting, and fully immersing themselves in the experience throughout the nearly two hour performance, making it a night to remember in Philadelphia.
Gogol Bordello continues on a European tour starting in July until then check out the new album, it's a good listen.
